On September 2nd, Farmington’s favorite metal band Signal 99 performed at Dino's Hideaway and Lounge at 405 Cr 390 on Crouch Mesa. The show was an incredible display of diversity featuring the perfect blend of metal music and some really high energy drag performances by local drag queen performers Aluna Del Rey and Electra Fie along with several other local queens. This 21 and up show was an absolute blast and the crowd was both headbanging and cheering on the drag performers. The queens raged in their high heels in front of the stage for Signal 99’s performance and hyped up the crowd amazingly well. This show was the perfect way to illustrate that drag and metal do indeed go together quite nicely- both being energetically charged, creative and fun. Signal 99 and Dinos did an incredible job embracing the excitement of such a diverse crowd.
Dinos has been leading the Four Corners area in hosting a diverse array of shows ranging from Spanish Music, Country and Rock to Metal, monthly Drag Shows, Hip Hop artists like New Mexican favorite Lil Renzo and even Juan Gotti a godfather of Mexican Rap. They have welcomed Loud Cloud Magazine and a wonderful selection of vendors to network at their shows and enjoy the fun.
In the coming months Dinos will host Spanish Music acts put on by Next Level Promotions, Hip Hop star YBE on October 21st brought in by Take Over Promotions in partnership with Pinky’s Promotions and will also host a Halloween costume party featuring rap star Kirko Bangz on October 28th by A&M Entertainment. Signal 99 has had quite a year of touring with shows spanning from Denver to Albuquerque and even performing at the Whiskey a Go Go in Hollywood California. They are headed on the road for a show in Denver on October 5th then to Laramie Wyoming, Twin Falls Idaho and Salt Lake City Utah, before trekking back to Shiprock New Mexico on October 27th. They are sure to perform at Dinos again in the near future.
